Music Instruments

Tobias Federmann

I've been playing the drums for most of my life, starting with the drum kit and later expanding to percussion instruments, mallets, and timpani. For nearly as long, I've also performed as a drummer and percussionist in various orchestras and bands. In 2014, I've also started learning the piano.

Below, you'll find a timeline of my journey as an instrumentalist.

Drumming on Pots and Pans

Pretty much as soon as I was physically able to, I started drumming on pots and pans in the kitchen. Soon, I got my first drum kit, a small toy drum set.

Mallets, Percussion & More Orchestras

A few years later, I joined the local senior orchestra, as well as the combo band of my school. At this time, I also started playing percussion instruments and timpani in the orchestra, and learning mallets like marimba and xylophone in addition to the drum kit. From then on, I also occasionally helped out as drummer and percussionist in other orchestras and bands.
